With the cost of energy rising all the time at the effective evaluation of Electrical energy is becoming more critical.
Initially it is recommended by the Electricity suppliers to Carry out a Creep Test, and if the Electricity Meter is at fault then they will replace it free of charge. Creep Testing is a simple task to be carried out by you our customer. Follow through on this article so you can perform the initial basic tests yourself.
Obviously Prices of Electricity are rising at an alarming rate, whether Domestic Customers (single phase), or the larger Commercial Customers (single and up to Three Phase).
Bright Spark Electrical Services have invested in New Energy Data Logging Equipment to provide suitable monitoring of electrical supplies into properties, whether it is just for a day or several weeks, to ascertain where the high spots and energy usage can be. The equipment can actually record up to 6 weeks periods
The equipment is installed on a temporary basis, close to the consumer unit/distribution boards. The equipment used is non evasive.
Using this equipment, every five minutes recordings are taken, of the voltage and current. This determines the power and power factor for the property.
From detailed graphs and spreadsheets and average values are recorded.
At the end of the testing within a few days a report is issued to customers, we can come out for a short while to your property to identify when the peak demands are and how much electricity is actually being used.
From these details, which includes timings, we can work with clients to identify which pieces of equipment are likely to be coming on and using electricity.
For most situations, it is recommended that equipment is installed for around two - three weeks to give a better indication of electricity usage. (The equipment can actually record up to 6 weeks periods).

You just saved us the biggest headache ever; after months of electrical problems ( now resolved), we had a ‘no power situation’. After checking circuit boards, switches etc we were at a complete loss. Read your piece above (after Googling ‘circuit board switches up, but no power‘) about RCD switch and resetting (didn’t know what an RCD was), and after 8 hours sleep dreaming of circuit boards and 2 minutes of contemplation, and re-reading your advice,I totally nailed it.
