Covid-19 Policy Statement

COVID

(Update 26th February 2022)

Keeping you Updated about how Electricians at Bright Spark take this COVID Seriously.

Both myself (Karen Smith) & my team of fantastic electricians want to reach out to you personally about what we are doing at Bright Spark to support you with your electrical work.

As Electricians, we are classed as Essential Key Workers, along with the Supply Chain that supports us.

We take the health and wellbeing of our employees and customers seriously and with the Coronavirus, we consider it our duty to keep you updated as to the steps we are taking to ensure employee and customer safety whilst maintaining business continuity.

The current Measures taken by Her Majesties Government of February 2022 – “Living with Covid”.

The “Living with Covid” measures we are taking include:

·       making hand sanitisation products available to all staff

·       ensuring that staff are testing, and reporting back to the office at the beginning of a week copies of their Negative Lateral Flow Tests

·       ensuring that staff are testing, and reporting back should we have been made aware of vulnerable customers – young & old, on the day of their visit.

·       should staff find that there is a Positive Lateral Flow Test, then they are encouraged to take time off on sick to the previous recommended times, as we do not want to pass this virus on to our Customers.

·       should staff find that they are unwell or showing symptoms, they are requested to provide us with the results of a  Lateral Flow Test, then they are encouraged to take time off on sick, if they are “Positive”, to the previous recommended times, as we do not want to pass this virus on to our Customers.

·       likewise we would request our customers to advise us of sickness & testing too.

·       following isolation guidance to cover different scenarios such as staff showing symptoms, or having had exposure to someone confirmed with the illness, or having been confirmed as having the illness

·       having a procedure in place to notify our customers if any of our staff are confirmed as having the illness and have come into contact with customers members of staff. Similarly, we require our customers to notify us if a member of their staff has been confirmed as having the virus and comes into contact with our staff

We are confident that the robust measures we are taking can help prevent the spread of Coronavirus whilst ensuring business continuity.

Bright Spark Electrical Services (Bright Sparks Commercial Ltd), like everyone are mindful of how we can help minimize the risk of spread and continue normal day-to-day services during this pandemic.

Should you wish to defer or postpone your visit for later date in 2022 please contact us, and  our office will make contact with you by telephone to make alternative arrangements to return at a future date.

This will be confirmed and followed up by text / email of a future booking, (we don’t want you to disappear into the great unknown and your electrical works forgotten).

At present, we are able to place provisional return visits for our customers 2 – 3 months in advance, with the hope that the additional Booster Vaccines are rolled out to everyone, but even then we will discuss with you should you wish to defer further.

Before even starting works, our Electricians, will run through a Form on their iPad, which have all the job notes on,  with a Bespoke Personalised Check List including  Risk Assessment questions which need to be answered truthfully, before they start work.

We will be not asking customers to touch the iPad (because of the possibility of cross contamination).

The questions include:

·      Whether they have had any periods of:

·      Self Isolation,

·      Cold,

·      Flu,

·      Coronavirus like symptoms.

·      Whether they have been in contact with anyone who has.

·      We also ask our customers if they are at risk due to health issues,

·      We are asking for access to Hot Water and Handwashing facilities too.

Each day (if not every hour) Legislation is changing, so please be mindful of any updates which may occur.

Many Thanks, from the  Bright Sparks Commercial Ltd, Team!

So who would've thought an electrician could have sorted a hot water problem? Well, after a plumber left us with an expensive bill and still no hot water, we called Bright Spark in the hope that they could at least tell us what the problem was. Lo and behold, within 30 minutes, Karen has given us hot water..............excellent service as ever from Bright Spark – thank you

Jo, Collier Street

Thanks for Louise's great work - very happy!

Matt - Queens Road

Terry did a nice job. More importantly my wife said, β€œHe can come here any time.” Praise indeed!

Your electrician Philip was punctual, friendly and very efficient. Would certainly use you again and recommend your company.

Ian - Tunbridge Wells

Our timer on our central heating went and my husband was miles away at work,it was early evening when I phoned karen, but straight away she told me not to worry,to send a photo of the timer and she'd sort it out,and she did, an electrician came out with a new timer fitted it and was gone, brilliant service from start to finish, will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them
